Group Ministry
MUSIC MINISTRY:
"Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs" (Psalm 100:2).
Music plays an important role in the life of Glendale Lutheran Church. Our music is coordinated by Bill Lubben, Director of Music and Adult Education. We are blessed with many talented individuals who assist with this ministry. This group includes percussion, keyboard and accompanists, as well as a variety of other instrumental musicians.
Adult Choir meets every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. from September through May.
Hand Bell Choir meets every Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
Rejoice! is the children's choir for students in grades 1-5. The choir meets every Wednesday from 4-5:15 p.m. under the direction of Jane Robinson.
Youth Handbells choir is for all youth in grades 6-12. They practices on Wednesdays from 5:15-5:45 p.m. under the direction of Jane Robinson.

Brass Choir participates in festival services and others as needed.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY: All women of Glendale Lutheran Church are part of Women's Ministry.
Our Mission: To foster Christian growth, render service to our congregation, community, and to the world, and to promote fellowship among all women of our congregation.

DEACON'S MINISTRY:
Thirty five men and women are involved in this ministry of prayer and personal contact. Each of them has between 3 and 12 fellow members for whom they regularly prayer and serve inb a variety of ways.WORSHIP MINISTRY:
Acolytes - are 6th through 8th graders who light the altar candles for Sunday services.
Altar Guild - Prepares the chancel for worship and special services.
Greeters - Welcome worshippers and visitors at each Sunday service.
Lay Readers - Read Scripture at worship services.
Ushers - Greet worshippers, distribute bulletins and assist in helping services to run smoothly.
Worship Planning Group - This group seeks to plan the musical aspects of worship, both choral and instrumental, as well as other nuances for particular Sundays. Currently, this Group includes Charlotte Moret and Beth Nicolaus, Tracy Ortstadt and Joan Schlichter, Bill Lubben and Pastor Albers.
Leadership Council - Our Governing Board is called the LEADERSHIP COUNCIL, comprised of seven persons: Krissa Lubben, president; Andy Ortstadt, vice president of finance; Dorrie Krueger, vice president of personnel; Carl Kraft, secretary; Greg Frimel, treasurer; Gale Reed, liaison to Early Learning Center; and Mike Toney, liaison to properety management.
We also have three elected elders: Jerry Nicolaus, chairman; Steve Phelps; and Mike Becker.Tuesday:
6: 30 a.m. Men's Bible Study Group meets at the Sunset Hills IHOP. First session on September 9. Facilitator, Bill Lubben
9:15 a.m. Women's Bible Study Group meets in Room 126. Topic: Understanding God. Contact Mary Ann Crabtree for more information.
9:30 a.m. Bible Study in the Family Life Center. Pastor Albers leads a discussion on the lessons for the coming Sunday.
